Summer has been trucking along way too fast as usual. We've been up to alot and yet I never seem to have my camera with me.
For our anniversary, since we did our London trip, we kept it low-key this year. We went out to eat at Biaggi's and then went to the Clarke Planetarium to a laser light show featuring music by Led Zeppelin. It was really cool, 45 minute light show to their greatest hits. I definitely recommend it.
For July 4th weekend we headed up to Idaho to visit Michael's brother Adam and his wife. I've never been up to the BYU-Idaho campus but Adam and Chele gave us a tour of the place, it is a really nice campus, Michael had seen it a few years ago and apparently they have made some major renovations since then, he was really impressed. We spent the weekend with them hanging out, watching Transformers 3, shooting zombies, and dodging Mayflies which were EVERYWHERE that weekend. It was a fun weekend and great to visit family.
Utah County has this new thing called the Pass of All Passes which is one pass to get you in unlimited times to the Seven Peaks water park, Trafalga (putt putt golfing) and all the Orem Owlz baseball games. We have been trying to take advantage of our pass and it has been a lot of fun. The Seven Peaks water park is such a huge thing around here but I've lived here almost 9 years now and still had never been. It was fun, a really small water-park compared to the ones I grew up going to, but fun nevertheless.
I turned 28 last week, crazy how fast the years fly after about 20. I hurt my knee a few weeks ago and have been limping around with a brace on my knee, it definitely made me feel like an old woman for my birthday. It was a fun birthday though. Michael and I went out to Tucanos (Brazilian restaurant) and ate way too much delicious food as is required everytime you go to Tucanos. Michael got me some Atlanta Braves gear and a 90 minute massage package, I'm excited for that! I think one of my favorite parts of my birthday is eating birthday cake for every meal for the next few days...mmm chocolate cake.
Anyway that is a quick glimpse into what we've been doing this summer. This coming weekend we are heading out to Cincinnati to go to a few Reds-Braves baseball games. Michael is a Reds fan and I'm a Braves fan so it is going to be interesting. We have some family and friends coming to the game with us and we are about split half Braves fans half Reds fans, it will be interesting GO BRAVES!
